Adds the ability to search the selected text in search engines and check link popularity for sites.

Features:

Search the selected text or other specified text in search engines.
Find sites that link to a given URL (Link Popularity).
Supports Google, MSN, HotBot, Lycos, AltaVista and AllTheWeb.

Usage:

To search one or more words in the current document: select the text and invoke the plugin.
To specify other text to search: make sure that no text is selected in the current document and invoke the plugin.
To find out how many sites link to your site: invoke the plugin (make sure that no text is selected), enter the domain without http:// (for example: www.htmlkit.com) and click OK.

How do I install hkWebSearchHelper?

Download the "hkWebSearchHelper" plugin and save it to a folder of your choice (for example, c:\webfiles\). It's not necessary to manually extract the *.zip file, HTML-Kit will expand it to the proper folder during the installation.
Select "Install | Install Plugin" from HTML-Kit's "Tools" menu. Point to the downloaded *.zip file and click "Open."
If any additional prompts appear, follow them to complete the installation.

How do I run it?

Online

hkWebSearchHelper's icon will appear on the "Online" tab on HTML-Kit's Actions Bar. It can also be invoked from the "Actions | Online" sub menu.

Whats' the quickest way to uninstall hkWebSearchHelper?
